National Honor Society

The National Honor Society is a national organization that recognizes the achievement of high school students across the United States.  Membership in local chapters is an honor bestowed upon a student. Selection for membership is by a Faculty Council and is based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Once selected, members have the responsibility to continue to demonstrate these qualities by maintaining an 90 GPA; showing leadership, character and participating in community service projects organized by the Smithfield Chapter of the National Honor Society.
