Parking Pass Registration Information

 Please see the attached information regarding parking passes for the '17-'18 school year.



Registration will take place from Tuesday, August 22, through Friday, August 25, from 8 AM - 2 PM



Registration will take place after school from Tuesday, August 29 (1st day of school) through Friday, September 1


Parking in designated spots begins on Tuesday, September 5.

Graduation and Portfolio Websites Back Up

 The SHS Graduation and Portfolio Websites are updated and live.  Please feel free to use the tabs on this website to access them.

Freshmen Orientation

Freshmen Orientation at SHS will occur on Monday, August 28, from 6-7:30, beginning in the SHS Auditorium.  This event will allow freshmen students and parents to listen to a presentation from high school administration, learn the general layout of SHS, receive lockers, and be welcomed to the high school!  


Attendance is mandatory at this event for students and parents.

 We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!


The SHS Graduation and Portfolio Websites are temporarily down as we make updates.  They will return to full functionality by mid-August.

Open Enrollment - CTE Pathways


Smithfield High School is proud to announce that our three Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are now accepting applications for open enrollment from all students, including those from outside of the Smithfield School District. Our CTE programs include:


  • Engineering Technology Academy Pathway

  • Early Childhood Education Academy Pathway

  • Academy of Finance Pathway

Students interested in the any of the Academy Pathways should complete the application form.

Communication Tool-Reminder

SHS is using an app and service called Remind to assist with communication to students and parents. If you aren’t familiar with Remind, it is a free communication product that makes it easy for teachers and administrators to connect with students and parents via mobile. It’s challenging to reach students reliably via email, but they always have their cell phones. Read more »
