The Pickleball unit has started for our third, fourth and fifth graders! Pickleball teaches hand eye coordination, lateral movements, and teamwork. Mr. Conell carefully chooses partners after watching students during the practice rounds. Then it is a battle to the top. Who will be the pickle ball champions this year? Stay tuned!

Tonight is the winter concert at LaPerche and the fifth grade band is practicing so they are performance ready. Come and join us at LaPerche starting at 5:30 PM to hear our kindergarten through fifth grade students perform. Thank you to Miss Schug for getting the students performance ready!

The January student council rocked the announcements today. They encouraged everyone to speak positively to themselves and a classmate, reminded them about Martin Luther King Jr.’s message of equality, celebrated birthdays, and ended with the Pledge of Allegiance. Rockstar public speakers at LaPerche!

LaPerche students love to read!! Kindergarten students spread out on the rug and read books of their choice. Choosing your own book increases interest, engagement, and enthusiasm! Look at that focus!

The Cafeteria Rangers were hard at work in the cafeteria at LaPerche today. The Rangers help students sort their lunch waste into recycling, composting, landfill, and the share cart. Do you compost at home? If not reach out to our partner, Bootstrap compost, to start composting at home! LaPerche students are ready to lead composting in their own homes!!

First graders at LaPerche read The Winners’ Choice today. They determined the main events of the story focused on the beginning, middle and end. The students knew it was important to look back in the story to confirm their thinking with the events that took place. Ask your first grader about the lesson they learned in this excellent story!

Jillian’s warm smile and kind heart is a perfect fit for the integral part that lightening of the tree signifies - bringing people together to celebrate friendship, kindness and love.
We are so proud of you, Jillian!
