Transferring Google Accounts
As you begin to transition from high school to college, it is important for graduates to start transferring Smithfield Google accounts to a personal Google account or to a zip file. This transfer must be completed by September 30, 2023.
Class of 2023 Smithfield Google accounts will be suspended on October 1, 2023. After January 1, 2024, all Class of 2023 Smithfield Google accounts will be deleted with no possibility of restoration or access.
Google Takeout has been enabled for the Class of 2023.
The video below outlines two ways to use Google Takeout. The first is traditional, requires a personal Gmail account, and only moves the drive contents and email. The second, demonstrated about halfway through the video, shows how to download all content from your Google account to a zip file. While probably more useful, it may be several very large files based on the size of your content/account.
