Congratulations to boys basketball player Matt Lasalandra for being named the Uno’s Pizzeria & Grill SHS Athlete of the Week for the week ended January 13th! Matt, a junior guard, filled up the stat sheet in a week that saw the Sentinels go 2-1. In a 60-44 victory over Coventry he scored 7 points to go with 11 rebounds, 6 steals and 4 assists. In a 77-76 loss to East Providence Matt poured in 22 points with 12 rebounds, 6 steals and 3 assists. To cap off his big week, he scored 28 points with 10 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 blocked shots in a thrilling 60-58 win over Cumberland

Congratulations to girls indoor track member Kendra Ezeama for being named the Uno’s Pizzeria & Grill SHS Athlete of the Week for the week ended January 6th! Kendra, a junior set a new indoor school record in the shot put with a throw of 38’ 4”, good for 2nd place at the World Trophy Invitational.
